Violet Lovejoy was born May 8, 1924 to Loren Lovejoy (1901-1988) and his wife Orilla Beggs (1903-1997). The yearbook described her as "Neat", she has a weakness for V-Eights and had a saying "Well, drip." She served on yearbook staff. In the Junior class play "Taking the Count" she played Laura Howard, Emily's dictatorial sister. In the Senior class play Violet was Mrs. Smith, the aunt of a sorority girl and also the house mother for the sorority. Violet graduated from Wild Rose High School in 1942. She married Melvin Christie February 19, 1944. Melvin was the son of George Christie and Hilda Johnson. Melvin was born December 22, 1917 in Mt. Morris and died February 26, 2002 in Waupaca. Violet died February 13, 2009. |
