Progressive School. Wild Rose WI Museum

The Progressive School was moved to the Wild Rose Museum.  It was located on Swamp Road between Highway 22 and Mount Morris. The  large bell works well when we have school tours to move the kids to the next station.  The Wild Rose Museum has 6 buildings and a smoke house. The Elisha Stewart House and Pioneer Hall have 2 each and the weaving room, general store and gift shop account for another 3.  We are open to the public From the first Wed. or Sat. on June 15 on the first W or Sa. after the 15th. We are not open on the 4th Sat. in June because most of are guides go to Over 50 (years after graduation). The hours are 10AM  to 1PM. If you are there by 1 you will get a tour.

Wild Rose School

This  school was designed by J H Jeffers an architect from the area. His real name was John Henry but he always went by J H Jeffers.  His father was John Robert Jeffers and grandfather was Samuel Jeffers.  Samuel was born in Rose, Wayne County, NY.
