Russell Anderson's Family

Russell Milford Anderson was born April 5, 1901
in the Town of Mt Morris.  His parents were
Halbert Anderson and Louisa Charleson.  He
married Olive Irene Simenson July 6, 1926. Olive
was born August 11,1901 in the Town of Mt
Morris. Her parents were Edmund Nels
Simenson and Tora Thompson.  He worked at
the Wautoma State Bank and later the Union
State Bank in Wautoma.He drove school bus
later and worked in the pickle business. Russell
did tax work.  He was a member of the Anderson
Brothers quartet and the Hope Lutheran Church
choir for over 70 years.They had two sons.  Donald
Eldon Anderson was born February 22, 1927 in
Wautoma.  Donald was interested in horses. 
Gerald DeWayne Anderson was born July 2, 1929
in Wautoma.  He enlisted in the US Air Force.  He
was killed in a crash of a C-119 that was trying to
land at Bitsburg, Germany. He died February 10,
1953 along with four other crew members. There
was a memorial service at Rhein Main base in
Frankfort, Germany.  He was returned to the US
 and buried in the Mt Morris Holden Lutheran
Cemetery where his parents were later buried.
Russell died December 25, 1991.  Olive died
August 27, 1972. The picture is from the early
