Dr Ben B Fisher was born March 24, 1870 in the Town of Buffalo, Ogle County, Illinois with a post office address of Woosung. His parents were Wilson Jewett Fisher and Charlotte Ella Case. They were married in Milwaukee on December 31, 1868. Dr. Fisher married Emma Link on October 12, 1899. She was born April 9, 1871 in Milwaukee and died December 16, 1930. They first lived in Milwaukee but had moved to Wild Rose by 1905. Dr. Fisher treated Thomas Hanlon, one of the Wild Rose robbers, for gun shot wounds in October of 1905. Beside being a wonderful doctor who made house visits he also took time to serve on the Wild Rose chool board. The Fishers had 6 children only Joan lived past infancy. Even a doctor couldn't save babies from flu. Joan married Alden Attoe. In 1922, he warned people against public gatherings on account of the "Flu Epidemic". Dr. Fisher died June 4, 1947.
