Melva Zuege Kleist

Melva Zuege was born in Saxeville to Otto Johann Gottlieb Zuege and his wife Apppolonia Wilhelmina
Marie Handrich.  She graduated in the class of 1939. 
At Wild Rose High School she played clarinet, was
in class plays, forensics in extemporaneous speaking,
as well as class Vice-President as a freshman and
President as a Senior. She went to college at
Oshkosh.  She married Orin Kleist June 10, 1944 at
Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma.  Orin was the
son of Gustav Kleist and Lena Bassler. They had a
son Tom.  Orin died 10 October 2012.  He was
born in the Town of Oasis April 10, 1921. They
spent most of their marriage in Almond. She died
Sept. 4, 2017 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. She was buried
in Almond.
