Carl Cinzinsky

The picture is from around 1936.  Carl L 
Cizinskywas born August 28, 1918 in 
Almond, Wisconsin.  his parents were Joe 
Cizinsky and Norma Prochnow.  Joe was 
born in 1877 and died in 1923.  Norma 
was the daughter of Albert Prochnow and
Mary 
Thiele.  Norma remarried in 1924.

Norma was born March 19, 1893 in 
Oasis and died April 6, 1972 in 
Milwaukee. William Anselm became his 
stepfather.  William Anselm was born 
December 1889 and died June 11, 1946.  
He owned a garage in Wild Rose. The 
building in the background is Anselm's 
garage.  Carl went to Wild Rose High 
School. He was active in music, playing
in the band, being drum major as well 

as the piano.  He enlisted in the army in 
June 1941 and served in the Army until 
Dec of 1945.  He was 5 feet 8 inches and 
weighed 136 at enlistment. He was a 
music teacher. He died May 3, 1984.  
His siblings were Clarence, Ina, Carol 
and Ruth.  He is buried in St John's 
Cemetery in Almond along with his 
parents.
