Olwyn Hughes Colligan

The picture is from the early 1940's.  Olwyn 
Hughes Colligan was born March 12, 1898 
in the Town of Rose,  Her parents were Isaac 
Hughes and Elizabeth Evans.  Her mother 
died January 12, 1899 before she was a year 
old.  She had a sister Jane. Olwyn married 
Ernie Colligan October 20, 1920 in  Wild 
Rose. Ernie was the son of Jacob Colligan 
and Eva McLaughlin.  Ernie was born in 
the Town of Dayton, Waupaca County on 
October 5, 1895.  Olwyn was active in the 
Methodist Church and Eastern Star and 
other women's groups.  They had three sons 
Delbert, Donald and Roger.  Ernie died 
February 9, 1967 and Olwyn on 
November 27, 1970. The picture was taken 
in front of their house on Division Street.
