Locey A Nash was born in Chenago County
New York in August of 1844. His parents
were Alvah and Matilda(Dickinson) Nash.
Alvah married Matilda November 11, 1839
in Steuben County, New York. Alvah Nash
was a Waushara County Sheriff in 1857-58.
He had the hotel and ran a livery stable.
Both Locey and his father Alvah served in
Company D of the 37th Wisconsin Infantry
in the Civil War. Locey was a private and
Alvah was a Major. Locey filed for his civil
war pension Jan 27, 1870. Alvah filed for
his Civil war pension March 28, 1879. Locey
married Sarah L Page, the daughter of
James Watson Page and Polly Jeffers on
March 17, 1866 in Wautoma, Sarah was
born in Rose, New York about 1844. She died
in Calistgo, Califormia in 1873. They had a
son, Simeon. His mother, Matilda Nash died
January 23, 1878. Alvah Nash died in Berlin
at the age of 71 on September 17, 1883.
Locey married Emma Aurella Stone on
Oct. 12, 1881 in California. Emma was
born Jan. 22, 1855 in Siskiyou County CA,
Emma died Aug. 14, 110 in Adin, Modoc
County CA.Locey Nash died in Adin, Modoc
County, California on April 2, 1912. |
