Wedding

I can identify Steve Inda who is the third person in
the back row.  I believe the groom is his brother,

Wallace Inda and his wife is Pauline Pink. They were
married in May of 1905.

Clyde Churchill



















Clyde Allen Churchill was born in Helvetia, Waupaca 
County on Feb. 6, 1883 to Cyrus Churchill (1849-
1888) and Sarah Allen (1850-1924) in the Town of 
Helvetia in Waupaca County. Cyrus & Sarah also 
had a daughter, Katherine born in 1871.  Cyrus 
and his first wife Emma Woolsey . had a son Louis 
born in 1869 died in 1939. After Cyrus died Sarah 
married John Henry Rees (1857-1929). Clyde's 
second half brother, Fred Rees was born in 1898.  
Clyde's WWI draft card filed in St. Paul, MN described 
him as medium height and weight, blue eyes and 
light hair. He was working for Swift Co. as a laborer. 
He was living in Missouri when he got his Social 
Security card. The Census usually listed Clyde as 
a farmer.  His WWII draft card reported was living 
in Plainfield, had no telephone and Herbert Randolph 
of Plainfield would always know his address. Clyde's 
description was 5 feet 10 inches, 160 pounds, blue 
eyes, grey hair, and ruddy complexion. He also had 
a scar on the back of his right hand. Clyde died 
August 15, 1969 in Redgranite.  He was buried in 
the Plainfield Cemetery.

Red Crown Gasoline in Wild Rose

Red Crown was the Standard Oil gas station.
Wild Rose had two locations. This one was in
front of R.K. Hotz Hardware store on the east
side of Main Street. You can see the roof of the
Hotel in the left corner. The other was at Glenn
Etheridge's garage near where the Pioneer
Pub is today. It was there at least by April of

1924.

Loren Bacon

Loren Bacon was the son of James D Bacon and his wife,
Anna Margaret Hanson. He was born Sept. 2, 1898 in the
Town of Belmont, Portage County, WI. He married Harriet
Hand. Their son Donovan James Bacon was born Sept. 3,
1917 in Almond. Their daughter, Harriet Bacon was born
Oct. 18, 1918 in Wild Rose.  His wife died in 1918. He moved
to Riverside, California.  He is wearing a sailor suit. Little
boys worn long hair.

grapher from Wild Rose. The picture was on a
glass negative. 

Clair I Hanson

Clair I Hanson was born June 15, 1897 in the Town of
Belmont, Portage County, WI. His parents were John T
Hanson (1872-1959) and mother, Esther (1879-1951).
Clair married Alice and eventually lived in Missoula,
Montana. He died 2 Feb. 1975 in Montana. Alice lived
from 1897-1968).

Rodney Radloff


Rodney Radloff was a long time member of the Wild
Rose Historical Society.  He served as President and
was a faithful guides for many years and he also did
a lot of weeding of flower beds.  He worked for the
Wild Rose Creamery.
