Lillian Holt was born August 5, 1914 in Wild Rose. Her
parents were Ole Henry Holt and Alma Anderson who
were married August 23, 1911. Ole was born July 13,
1871 and died June 6, 1941. Alma was born
November 21, 1882 and died August 4, 1972. Lillian
graduated from Wild Rose High School in 1932 and
attended college in Stevens Point. She taught in Mt
Morris and left there for Lafarge in 1937. Next she
taught in Tigerton, then Kimberly, Wausau, and finally
Wauwatosa where she retired from in 1876. Many
students in Wild Rose remember her for the Holt
scholarships that are given out each year. Her siblings
were Olney and Arlene. She lived in her parents
house of 620 Division street after she retired. As a
child, she also lived in Boyceville and Plainfield. Lillian
died February 20, 1992. She is buried in the Mt.
Morris Holden Lutheran Cemetery.
