Robert Melvin Sorenson was the son Thomas
Sorenson (1893-1969) and Torney Stea
(1902-1996). He was born in the Town of
Wautoma on March 30,1931. He was
baptized in the West Holden Church. His
elementary education was at the Willow
Grove School. His parents sold the farm
and moved into Wild Rose so he went to
Wild Rose High School. H was the Prom
King in 1949 with Joan Mumbrue as Queen.
He helped his father who was the school
custodian by working in summers. He
graduated with the class of 1950. In 1952
he had a job with Harley Davidson in
Milwaukee. He married his wife Elaine in
Adams in August of 1953, They had two
children. They moved back to Wild Rose
in 1954. Later they bought a house in
Wautoma. Bob was now employed as a
herd technician for Badger Breeders. He
enjoyed painting so he joined the Rural
Rembrandts, On January 12, 1966 he had
a heart attack was revived and
taken to the Wautoma Community Hospital
where he had a second one which was fatal.
He was buried Hope Lutheran Cemetery.
