Willis J Elhert

Wllis J Ehlert was born March 4, 1924 to Frank C Ehlert 
and his wife Helen Salvey.  He had a younger brother 
Redmond who was born in Wild Rose 22 June 1929 
and he died December 2008 in San Antonia, Texas.  
His father, Frank was the a barber in Wild Rose.  In his 
senior year, Willis played on the basketball team that 
won all their all their regular season games and one 
tournament game.  He played left field for the baseball 
team.  He went to UW- Madison and major in education. 
He was the President of the Scheduers which was a 
group from the school of education.  After he graduated 
with a Master's degree from UW he taught English and 
was the advisor for the yearbook at West
High in Madison. He married Revi Riley June 2, 1951. 
Revi died September 25, 2011.
