Ruth Anselm was born in 1928 to William Anselm and Norma Prochnow. Norma was married to Joe Cizinsky but he died in 1923 and their children were Carl, Clarence, Ina and Carol. Norma married William in 1924. William Anselm bought the garage of Glenn Etheridge on Main Street after Glenn's death in 1931. Ruth was graduated in the class of 1945. She was elected treasurer her freshman year. She was in the prom court May 4, 1944. Her senior year she was on the girls basketball team and girls sports reporter for the Purple 'N Gold paper. She willed her appearance to Nioleta Dopp. Her favorite saying was It's all in a lifetime. Her favorite song was "Saturday Night." Her weakness as Bob. She married David Carver Bartelt who was born December 29, 1926 and died in Tarpon Springs, Florida on January 16, 2014. |
