Hanawalt Farm in Springwater

Rev. William B Hanawalt was born July 21, 1822 
in Huntingdon County Pennsylvania to Henry and 
Mary Hanawalt. They moved to Loudonville, Ohio.  
William married Clarrisa Sigler , daughter of 
Daniel Sigler and Elizabeth Mathews. They were 
living in Wisconsin when there sixth son George 
was born in 1856. The property was in Township 
20 North Range 11 East Section 11.  The land was 
in the town of Springwater.This land was bought 
December 15, 1855.  Hanawalt later moved into 
the Town of Dayton in Waupaca County in section 
33. He died September 24, 1896 in the Town of 
Dayton probably of his heart trouble.  He is 
buried in the Crystal Lake Cemetery.
