Vivian Margaret Stewart Rasmussen was born to Benjamin
Harrison Stewart (1888-1941) and Pearl Huffman
(1895-1980). She broke her arm while roller skating in
1935. She graduated from Wild Rose High School in 1941.
She was described as stately with a weakness for falling in
love. She was elected Vice-President of her freshman class.
Her favorite song was "Billy Boy." She wanted to be a
secretary. She willed her clarinet playing to Clarence Bradley.
She worked in Milwaukee for awhile but came back to Wild
Rose and clerked at the Mercantile. She married Louis
Peter Rasmussen born June 19, 1914 to James Rasmussen
and Clara Olson. They married January 1, 1944 in Wild Rose.
Louis died Nov. 13, 1988 in Wisconsin Rapids. They had
three children including a daughter Mary Margaret who
was born May 12, 1953 and died of an infection on Feb.4, 1955.
Vivian died Feb 6, 1918 in Plano, Texas where she daughter
Susan lived. She also has a son David in Minnesota. |
