John Henry Jeffers and wife Matilda Wagner

This is a picture of John  Henry Jeffers who was a 

son of John Robert Jeffers and his wife Mary Jane 

Bromaglin. He was born Feb. 16, 1867 in the Town 

of Wautoma. He went by J H Jeffers as an architect 

who did many buildings in Wisconsin, Iowa and 

South Dakota.  He did the Wild Rose High School 

in 1895.  He did many businesses, churches, and 

houses. In 1904 he did the Wisconsin Pavilion for

 the St Louis World's Fair. He married Matilda 

Wagner married in Waushara County.   They had a 

child, Hattie Jeffers.  He was married a least 4 

times. J H died in Oct.26, 1946 in Fredonia, Kansas.
