Sage Millinery in Wild Rose

This picture was taken about 1900. The Sage 

Millinery was located at 600 Dewey St. in Wild Rose.  

Eliza Phillips Sage was a dressmaker as well as a 

milliner.  Eliza was born Oct. 16, 1868 to John Phillips 

and his  wife Ann  McLaughlin. She married Jefferson 

Sheridan Sage., the son of George Sage and Caroline 

Mason. Jeff was born March 12, 1870.  He died  

April 6, 1945. They had 4 children: Harry, William, 

Beatrice & Elizabeth.  Harry was about 7 in the picture 

and William known as Willie was about 5,  Beatrice did 

not marry.  Elizabeth married Joseph A Draper of 

Shawano in 1937.  Unfortunately he died in 1943.  

They had a son Joseph Draper.
