1942 Wild Rose Basketball champions

This picture was taken in the living room of Ernie
Colligan located at 720 Division St.  Dr. Ben 
Fisher is at the end of the table.  Left to right: 
Keith Merryfield, Unidentified, Warren Jones, 
Stanley Nichols, Donald "Red Colligan, Ernie 
Colligan, Carl Handke, Unidentified, Hilbert Strey, 
Delbert Colligan, Roger Colligan, Boyd Merryfield, 
and Willis Ehlert. The team won the conference 
championship.  The team was 8-0 in the 
conference,  Four members of the team were 
placed on the all conference team:
Roger Colligan, Warren Jones, Boyd Merryfield 
and Keith Merryfield. Red Colligan and Delbert 
Colligan had already graduated and were not on 
the team. The three big pictures on the piano 
were Red Colligan, his future wife Natalie Weisser, 
and Delbert Colligan.
