Wild Rose School with 2nd addition

This building was built and designed by architect, John Henry
Jeffers from Wild Rose in 1895. The picture is made after the
left wing of the building was added so the picture is probably
before1908.  John was the son of John Robert Jeffers and his
wife Jane.  They are part of the Jeffers families from Rose, NY.
Notice that there is only one house which is on Park Ave. The
trees are also very small.J H Jeffers also did the Wisconsin
pavilion for the World's Fair in St. Louis in 1904.  He designed
many buildings in Stevens  Point including two churches and
schools.  He did opera houses in Amherst and Antigo. He moved
to Mason City, Iowa and did schools and libraries in Iowa.  He
was in South Dakota and builtand Opera House and performed
as a musician too.
