Wild Rose Wisconsin Centennial Plate 1873-1973

The center is the Elisha Stewart's house and cobbler shop. Following the clock is Jones first store and post office (the building burned within the year and was not rebuilt (it was where the hotel is now). The Grange Hall was where Laruritzen's station is today. Briggs Inn was built where the current hotel is. The village church was the Methodist church which burned down. It was near the curve on Main St. that turns toward Wautoma. Lincoln's blacksmith shop was where the restaurant is that used to be a garage on Main St. Strong's mill  is in the same location today but is no longer a mill. The school was in the Town of Rose on the Wautoma side.
