Zilpha Davies

Zilpha Davies was born May 21, 1901 in Wild

Rose, WI to Harvey and Martha Davies. She 

had a sister Mary. She graduated from Wild

Rose Hgh School in 1919. She was active in 

the Methodist church and taught Sunday 

School. I had her in 4th and 5th grade in the

mid-1950's. She worked for Clark's drug store

in the later 1920 and early 1930s.Later she 

worked for the Waushara Argus as

a correspondent covering Wild Rose. She 

never earned very much always worn a Black

dress with small hortizontal medium yellow

stripe with short sleeves. She lived on Oakwood

St. in the 1920's. She lived in family home on

Highway 22 north of Wild Rose with her father.
