This picture of Pearl Pierce Dopp would have been taken before 1910. Pearl was born March 13, 1902 in Amboy, Washington and was adopted by Jerry Pierce and his wife Fannie Etheridge when she was very young. She married George Dopp, son of Joseph and Della Darling Dopp, on June 6, 1926. George and Pearl ran a general store on Main Street in Wild Rose for years. They adopted two children, Robert and Sylvia. Pearl was very active in many organizations in Wild Rose including the Historical Society, The Women's Club, the Methodist Church, and the Rural Rembrandts. She was a painter and a writer. She wrote poetry as well as a biography, From the top of a secret tree. |
