Gladys Etheridge was born July 22, 1897 in the Town of Rose, Waushara County, WI. Her parents were Alanson Pease Etheridge and Emma Spicer. She married George Leonard Leininger (1897-1940). Gladys
was a master weaver, made pottery, braided rugs, as well
as metal work. She moved to St Paul, Minnesota where
she took many classes because of her interest in art. She
went to the Opera and Symphony performances in Minneapolis.
He husband owned a liquor store in St Paul which she took
over after his death. She had a collection of Heritage books
that were stored individual books. She was also a sports fan
and when I was a child she would clip pictures or articles for
me about my favorite baseball teams or player |
