Yarn winder in the weaving room at the Wild Rose Historical Museum

The winder was hand made by Josiah Etheridge who

came to Wild Rose from Woodmancote in England. The

winder allowed you to know if you had enough yarn for

both sleeves for a  sweater. That was important you wanted

to have the entire sweater inin he same dye lot.
