Kittel was born in Illinois Sept. 3, 1850. He went to
Luther College in Calmar, Iowa. He went by a number
of names Ketil as a first name and Bkken as a
surname. His father was a Bakken and his mother
was Aase Kittelson. He married Herborg Huglen on
May 27, 1869 at Norsk-Evangel Mari, Iowa. She was
from Stordven, Norway. He was a minister to the
Mount Morris Holden Church in Waushara County and
New Hope in Portage County WI. He died June 30,
1914.
