Ingwald M Sorenson 1895-1974

Ingwald was a farmer in civilian life. He served
in WWI. He went over on the "S S Tusania" which
was torpedoed by the Germans off the coast
of Ireland on Feb. 5, 1918 They had enough
life boats so out of the 2400 soldiers and crew
only 210 died. The boat sunk and they were
taken to Ireland and did get to France He
served in Co. 107th Supply Train. When he
returned  safely on the Leviathan in 1919.
He had a picture of the Tuscania over his front
door and when I was little we talked about
the sinking of the ship. He moved into
Wild Rose and lived on Maple Ave next to
my Murty grandarents.
