Marvin Jackson Valentine
1869 in Rose, Wayne County, NY. His
parents were Jackson Valentine and
Christiana Dodds. He married Adah
Rutherford Ellis but she went by Ruth
Ellis. They married 2 July 1895 in
Ellicottsville, NY. They had 2
children. He moved to Denver, Co.
and he died March 25 1923. Ruth
lived to 102 and is bried in the state
of Georgia.

Cora Eliza Barden
Cora Eliza Barden was born July 26, 1905 in
the Town of Buena Vista, Portage County, WI.
Her parents were Doward and Jessie(Adams)
Barden. They lived in the Town of Springwater
in Waushara County when the picture was
taken. She went to school and graduated from
Waupaca. She went to the Normal School in
Stevens Point and taught in rural schools. She
married Albert Frederic Gehrke May 1, 1927.
They had a daughter, Doria Gehrke Plog. She
died Jan. 11, 1990 in Green Bay.

Delmar Thompson Stationed at Pearl Habor Dec. 7, 1941
Delmar Thompson Dec. 14, 1916 in Wild Rose, WI. His
parents were Anton Thompson and Hazel Etheridge. They
lived on Grant St. He won first prize in the Waushara
County Fair in 1932 for his yearling heifer. He graduated
from Wild Rose High School in 1934. He enlisted Oct.24,
1940 in Milwaukee. He was 5'9" and 164 pounds He had
blue eyes, brown hair and a light complexion. His military
training was a Jefferson Barracks in Missouri. He was sent
to Hawaii and received the Distinguished Flying Cross as a
gunner on a B-24 Liberator transport and bombed a large
Japanese transport. He was in 45 bombing missions in the
New Guinea theatre. He also received three oak leaf
clusters for gallantry He was killed on a training mission
over Cuba on May 14,1944 when the plane crashed on
Batista Field. He was a staff Sgt. He is buried on
Oakhill in Wild Rose, WI.

Mrs Roberts is holding Elizabeth who
became Mrs Earl Towne. Moses is front
of Ellis W. There were additional children:
ohn Griffith, Mary, William and David James.

Boyd Alfred Clark
Boyd Alfred Clark was born January 18, 1918 in Wild Rose. His parents were
Fred Patterson Clark and Margaret Lowe. His father died in April of 1931 so
the family left Wild Rose and he didn't graduate from Wild Rose High School.
His draft card said he was 5'10" and a half, weighted 180 pounds, had brown
eyes and hair with a freckled complexion. He married Brydine Nelson on May
30, 1942. He enlisted June 23, 1942 in Milwaukee.He was released Sept. 12,
1945. He got his Law degree from UW- Madison.He representated Green
Lake and Waushara County in the Assembly until he ran for Distrct Attorney
in Waushara County in 1956. He was Waushara Judge for over 20 years. He died
March 6 1978 and is buried atOakhill Cemetery in Wild Rose. He had 4 children,
Crysti, Nelson, Thomas, and Betsy.
