John Spicer

John Spicer was born as Johann Georg Speiser
in Brettheim, Wuettemberg, Germany to Georg
Speiser and Regina Koenig in 1819. He married
Lurinda Jeffers in New York and they came to
The Town of Wautoma in Waushara County. He
died in 1864 and was the first person buried in
the Standalone Cemetery which was renamed
Mt, Pleasant.  His father-in-law, William Jeffers
donated the land.
